personally I think *quotidia 's genderbent 'verse is quite promising [link] - they have ears and tails. What a gorgeous-yet-adorable Watson!
as for names, I don't think any two people have the same name for f!Holmes, and the fandom seems to be split between Jane and Joan/Joanne/Jo(h)Anna for f!Watson (John translates to Jean, the feminine equivalent of which is Jeanne, which does in fact translate back to Joan or Jane (or Jean pronounced like Gene)), but as John is still a very common name and (in my locale anyway) Joan and Jane are rather old-fashioned, I tend to prefer Jen. Think I'm the only one though.

Usually people call Sherlock "Shirley" or "Sheryl", and John "Joan"

Beautiful! I think Sherlock would be called Sheila (so much better than Sherly I think), if they didn't keep the original name (I

gender-ambiguous names!), and they would most likely call John either Joan or Janet. I would say Jane, but that would be Femme Moriarty's name, and the only one that suits her.

THIS. IS. AMAZING. I love the soft strokes of colour and the lovely look in their faces! Ah, I guess for John's name it would be Jane Watson °-° and for Sherlock, I've seen 'Sheryl' around, but I personally believe 'Sherlock' would made also a pretty girl's name
